What you will be doing?

We are seeking a qualified, compassionate, and experienced Addiction Medicine Physician (MD / DO) to join our team in West Kill, New York, specializing in detoxification and substance use disorder treatment. This is a per diem position with on-call responsibilities. The ideal candidate must be familiar with New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) regulations and have at least 2 years of experience in the field of detoxification and substance use treatment.

What tasks are required?

• Provide medical care and treatment for patients with substance use disorders, including the management of detoxification, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and other addiction-related care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans for patients.
• Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, nurses, and counselors, to provide holistic care and support.
• Ensure compliance with OASAS regulations and New York State laws in all aspects of patient care.
• Serve as an on-call physician for emergency situations and treatment needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding addiction treatment, recovery resources, and aftercare.
