Overview
A wonderful, worldly, and kind young family is seeking a full-time career infant nanny for their 2-month-old daughter. This is a long-term position, and the family would like someone who will grow with them. The family resides in Palm Beach, Florida, and spends May through September in Europe. The candidate will be expected to travel with them during that time frame. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday, with a start time of 9am or 10am. However, flexibility is required as needs change. Weekends tend to be family time. There will be a guarantee of 50 hours per week. Mom is stay-at-home, and there is currently a night NCS who is scheduled through March. The ideal candidate will take direction well and will be able to follow the schedule and practices the NCS has put in place. The candidate should be collaborative and truly passionate about childcare. Only local candidates will be considered. Looking to hire immediately.
Responsibilities
- Ability to follow current sleep schedules and routines as well as adjust accordingly
- Always ensure the safety and well-being of the child
- Full-charge care of the infant as needed, preparing bottles, bathing, diapering feeding, eventually food weaning and meal plan and prep
- Child-related housekeeping duties including but not limited to laundry, organization, sterilization of bottles, and stocking of nursery
- Childcare development through modeling not through screens
- Monitor baby’s development and progress
- Nurture and support creativity, imagination, and core values when age-appropriate
- Provide a stimulating and overall nurturing environment
- Drive to from activities and appointments as needed
- Research activities locally and when traveling
- Pack/unpack and prep for travel
- Travel with the family
- Occasional household errands such as grocery shopping
Qualifications
- Experience with infants and beyond
- Collaborative in nature and kind
- Warm and nurturing personality with a calm presence
- Understanding of infant development and ability to recognize and respond to infant needs
- Professional and dependable
- Communicative
- The ability to speak French would be a plus but is not required
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Passport ready
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods
- Pet friendly – the family has dogs
- Must be able to swim
- Flexible with the schedule
- Current vaccinations for TDap, flu, proof of MMR
- Legal to work in the U.S.
Salary and Benefits
$40 per hour, PTO, and negotiable health reimbursement
