Overview
A lovely family in Greenwich, CT is seeking a French-speaking nanny for their two daughters, aged 5.5 and newborn. The schedule can be flexible for the right candidate, as the family is open to providing 30-50 hours throughout the week. They would ideally like some weekend hours, and they are happy to discuss this and come up with a schedule that works for everyone. This position can be live-in or live-out, and live-in accommodations will be a private bedroom and bathroom within the home.
Responsibilities
- All aspects of childcare, including infant care
- Managing nap and feeding schedules
- Fostering independent play, both indoors and outdoors
- Speaking French with the children regularly
- Child-related laundry and meal preparation
- Gently cultivating proper speech and manners
- Some assistance with the family dogs- filling food bowls, and letting them outside as needed
Qualifications
- Warm and nurturing
- Knowledgeable about childhood development
- Patient and conscientious
- Experience with newborns and toddlers, preferably simultaneously
- Experience and interest in Montessori-style childcare and education would be highly preferred
Requirements
- Strong swimming ability
- Comfort working around small dogs
- US work authorization
- Native French speaker
- Willingness to work some weekend hours
- The ability to drive is not required but would be HIGHLY desired
