Overview
A busy and active family on the Upper West Side is seeking an afternoon/evening nanny for their five-year-old daughter, and three-year-old and four-month-old sons. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 3-8pm. The family is also seeking someone to take the older children to school in the morning, but this does not have to be the same person. If interested, the morning schedule is 8-9am.
Responsibilities
- Accompany the older children home from school (within walking distance) and to after-school classes and play dates
- Creating an engaging and fun environment
- Preparing snacks and meals for the children
- Child related laundry and tidying when needed
- Infant care, including supervising sleep and feeding routines
Qualifications
- Extremely reliable and punctual
- Warm and caring, with a playful energy and high level of engagement
- Providing one-on-one care to each child in partnership with other caregivers
- Understanding of household boundaries as the family is quite private
- Goal oriented- should enjoy setting goals for the child and executing those plans
- Experience with early school-aged children and infants
Requirements
- US work authorization
- Driving is NOT required
- Swimming is NOT required
Salary and Benefits
- $35-40/hr. on the books
- Yearly discretionary bonus
