Overview
A family in Miami Beach, FL is seeking a superlative full-time live-out OR live-in (but living out on weekends) nanny for their two children ages 3-years-old and 1-years-old. The schedule will be Monday through Friday 8am/10am-8pm for a total of 50-60 hours weekly. The role does involve frequent travel as the family goes to Europe for 1 month in December and to New York for 4 months during the summer. There will also be weekend trips as well at times.
Responsibilities
The job duties include, but are not limited to:
- General supervision and care of the children
- Getting the children up in the morning and the eldest off to school (The eldest child goes to school during the weekdays and the nanny then cares for the youngest–taking him to the park, activities, etc.)
- Bedtime routine in the evening
- Engaging through play, reading, etc.
- Preparing the children’s food and ensuring they are fed (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks)
- Taking care of children’s dishes
- Children’s laundry and wardrobe
- Organization of personal belongings etc.
- Keeping the children’s areas, rooms, etc. tidy
- Bathing, dressing and proper grooming of children
- Driving the children as needed
- Facilitating nap time and establishing a routine
- Working alongside the parents as needed and following their instruction
- Observing and communicating the children’s development, progress and achievements with the parents
- Traveling with the family throughout the year
Qualifications
- It is a bonus if the nanny speaks Spanish
Requirements
- The candidate to hire for this role will have a minimum 5 years of nanny experience with verifiable references
- Experience working with 2 young children at a time
- Be CPR & First Aid certified
- Be a good communicator, reliable, responsible & trustworthy
- Has a genuine love for working with children
- Has a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Has flexibility to occasionally stay late
- Be a non-smoker
- Has a valid and current US Passport and be ready to travel domestic and international
- There is a dog (Labrador Retriever) in the home so the candidate to hire must be comfortable around dogs and not allergic
Salary and Benefits
- $35 /hour depending on experience and qualifications
- 3 weeks' paid vacation
- Major holidays off and paid
- Monthly healthcare stipend (amount TBD)
- The client would prefer to find someone local to Miami Beach area, but they are open to someone relocating for this role as well and would cover the cost of relocating.
- Please note: if fully-live out all days of the week then overtime will be compensated. If living-in Monday through Friday and living out on the weekends then overtime will not be compensated. This role is NOT fully live in, it is only live-out OR live-in during Monday through Friday only. Thank you!
