Overview
A loving and kind family of four on the Upper West Side, is seeking a full-time live-out nanny/family assistant to join their family and care for their two children ages 3-years-old and 4-months-old. The schedule would be live-out Monday through Friday, with 40 hours guaranteed. The exact schedule will be discussed between the candidate and the family as the mom gets ready to go back to work part-time. The position will have a mid-January start. This position is not looking to relocate, so you should already be living local to the city and within commuting distance of the Upper West Side.
Responsibilities
The position will be approximately 75% childcare and 25% family assistance. Mom is looking for a teammate who can bounce between tasks and help the parents maximize the quality time they spend with their children.
- Care for an infant and preschooler: feeding, bathing, changing
- Prepare bottles, feed, and handle all bottle washing and sanitizing items
- Preparing healthy meals for the children when needed; this will sometimes just be meal prep and the family will cook together before family dinner
- Actively nurturing and engaging the kids in creative, educational, developmental and fun activities that encourage physical and mental growth
- Transporting to and from school, activities, and play dates as needed
- Maintaining the children’s nap, eating, class, and play schedules
- Supervising outdoor play (including neighborhood scooter rides and other local excursions)
- Keeping home’s main spaces and children's room and play areas organized and tidy
- Children's laundry as needed
- Light errands for the family and household
- Walk and feed the family dog on occasion

Nice to have but not required:
- Second language
- Background in early childhood education is a plus
- A nanny with their own children/prior parenting experience
Requirements
- Valid First Aid/CPR or willing to certify
- Confident swimmer
- Willing and excited to travel during summer and must be able to travel internationally (passport not expiring in the next 6 months)
- Willing to do annual Flu vaccine
- Prior infant and toddler experience in a private home
- Comfortable with a small friendly hypoallergenic dog
- College degree
- Looking for longevity with a family
- Legal to work in the US
Salary and Benefits
$30-32 per hour plus applicable overtime
10 days PTO, sick days, and holidays
