Overview
A temporary newborn care specialist/ infant care nanny is sought for a busy professional in San Juan Capistrano, CA. The baby is just over 3 months old, and the schedule will be 7am-2pm Monday through Friday. This role is ONLY open to live-out candidates who live locally or are within a reasonable commuting distance to San Juan Capistrano.
The contract will run for a minimum term of 12 weeks (3 months), with a possible extension if things feel like a good fit for everyone. Mom is already back at work and is seeking a thought partner to support her as she juggles motherhood with a very busy work schedule. Candidates must be available for the full term.
This is an ASAP start.
Responsibilities
- Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
- Keep baby on schedule during the day, thus setting baby up for success at night, and vice versa
- Be willing to travel with the family on occasion, if ever required (likely only to NYC for a few days, or very rarely Atlanta or Chicago).
- Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care, while respecting the family’s personal preferences
- Light housekeeping related to baby and oneself
- Candidates may use the family car when mom is out of town, but will be required to use their own vehicle when she is home (for driving to the local park/ playground/ library etc.). Candidates will be reimbursed per the 2025 mileage rate set by the IRS.
Qualifications
- Must ideally have at least 5 years' verifiable experience working as a newborn care specialist/ infant care nanny.
Requirements
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- Be local to San Juan Capistrano, CA
- COVID vaccinated and up to date on Flu/RSV/Tdap and MMR vaccinations
- Passport ready and willing to travel, if ever required
- Trustline registered (or willing to register ASAP)
- Available to commit to the full contract term of 3 months
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets (cats and dogs)
