We are a growing swim school dedicated to teaching water safety and swimming skills in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. With four locations in Colorado and plans to expand to a 5th pool this year, we provide high-quality swim instruction while fostering a positive experience for students, families, and staff.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Aquatics Manager to lead a team of instructors and oversee operations across multiple locations. This role is perfect for a strong leader with experience in aquatics management, staff scheduling, and team development. Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of swim instructors and deck staff across multiple locations.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that supports staff retention and high performance.
- Provide ongoing in-water training and coaching to ensure instructors deliver high-quality lessons.
- Implement performance evaluations, recognition programs, and professional development initiatives.
Operations & Scheduling Management
- Ensure our 6-day-a-week program is delivered at a consistently high quality across all locations.
- Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage while maximizing payroll efficiency.
- Maintain a strong presence across locations, conducting regular site visits to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in lesson planning and staff training to uphold curriculum standards.
- Conduct lessons when needed for training, staff development, or lesson coverage.
Customer & Program Success
- Oversee class quality to ensure students progress effectively through the program.
- Act as a liaison between parents and instructors, addressing concerns and enhancing the customer experience.
- Collaborate with leadership to drive student enrollment, retention, and overall program growth.
Program Execution & Growth
- Ensure strong execution of all programs, including the Barracudas program where applicable.
- Monitor program performance and implement improvements based on feedback and best practices.
- Work with leadership to identify opportunities for growth and operational enhancements.
- Attend ongoing training locally and with corporate to stay aligned with best practices.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all locations adhere to safety standards, operational policies, and risk management protocols.
- Maintain required certifications and ensure staff compliance with lifeguard, CPR, and first aid training.
- Handle other responsibilities as assigned by the Franchise Business Owner.
Required Experience:
- 2 years of Aquatics Management experience (multi-location preferred).
- Proven leadership in staff supervision, scheduling, and training.
- Ability to mentor and develop instructors within a structured swim program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a swim school, fitness facility, or aquatics program.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (or willingness to obtain).
