The Position:
We are looking for fun-loving individuals to join our team as Swim Instructors and receive paid training, good pay and health insurance. This is a year-round position. British Swim School has been teaching swim lessons via our signature method for over 43 years. We are confident we can train any applicant how to teach our curriculum - as long as you enjoy the water, have a passion for child development and helping children make progress and ultimately succeed.
Responsibilities:

We are confident we can train any applicant how to teach our curriculum - as long as you enjoy the water, have a passion for child development and helping children make progress and ultimately succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to and support the Aquatics Manager and/or Business Owner
- Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with British Swim School training and program standards, maintaining certifications throughout employment
- Work a schedule that may include evenings (3pm-8pm), weekends (mornings and afternoons), and some holidays as required by business needs
- Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and be in the water for the duration of the shift
Minimum Qualifications:
- You have to love working with children
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Upbeat, enthusiastic personality - be ready to enjoy having fun at work!
- Comfortable in and around the water. Strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught and developed!
- Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment
- Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing
- Must be reliable - our children and adults depend on you!
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children - teaching experience is a plus
- Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required
- Customer service skills: 1 year preferred
- Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training)
