The Position:
British Swim School of Buffalo is hiring lifeguards at our Fox Run at Orchard Park location.
Roles and Responsibilities:
British Swim School of Buffalo is hiring lifeguards at our Fox Run at Orchard Park location.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and positive environment at the facility.
- Explain and enforce rules to ensure the safety of swimmers and bystanders.
- Respond to emergencies and attend to swimmers at risk.
- Perform first aid procedures as needed.
- Maintain records and reports of incidents occurring at the pool.
- Establish and maintain relationships with students’ parents and/or guardians.
- Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Perform duties in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Have a high school diploma, equivalent certification, or be currently pursuing one.
- Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s). Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Must complete British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children.
- Possess 1-2 years of swimming experience and demonstrate proficiency in the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
- A minimum of one year of customer service experience is preferred.
