WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Lead Emergency Services Specialist
SENIORITY LEVEL: Experienced Non-Management Level

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
This role is part of Utility Services
The role is responsible for oversight of all fire protection maintenance and PMs, legally required testing of all fire protection systems, interfacing with project management to ensure code and insurance required alterations are made during building modifications, interfacing with fire marshals from multiple jurisdictions, and training of contract security services. The incumbent must have an in-depth knowledge of NFPA 13, 20 and 25. Willing to work hours as required and have a strong plumbing, pipe fitting and mechanical aptitude.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Work both in a team environment and independently to identify facility fire protection system issues, determine possible solutions, evaluate costs and benefits of the credible alternatives, choose the appropriate resolution, and implement while working in an operating manufacturing environment.
- Act as a technical resource supporting project teams and maintenance organizations within the Corporation providing leadership and direction relative to fire protection concerns and assets.
- Work with outside contractors and vendors to estimate, schedule and implement projects.
- Review specifications and bid packages, determine list of qualified contractors, evaluate bids, and oversee execution of the resulting installations.
- Direct fire protection maintenance operations to ensure protection of company facilities. Proactively evaluate fire protection devices to judge remaining useful life and communicate needs to management for budgeting replacement equipment to ensure protection of properties.
- Work closely with Corporate Information Technology group to implement and maintain fire protection systems in data centers as well as Manufacturing avoiding operations interruptions.
- Flexible in work schedules as required to meet project schedules and maintenance repairs. Additionally, must be willing to answer late night calls from contract security services to provide direction.
- Identify and partner with external equipment vendors and engineering service providers to develop solutions.
CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
- Do you have experience testing and maintaining large industrial fire protection systems?
- Do you have experience working with AHJs during inspections for industrial, warehouse and office facilities?
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Previous experience maintaining and testing industrial, warehousing and office fire protection systems; including fire pumps, wet pipe systems, dry pipe systems, pre-action systems, underground piping, air compressors and clean agent systems.
- Strong mechanical and piping background.
- Previous experience of working closely, routinely and maintaining good relationships with AHJs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a maintenance group
- The ability to lead or support the execution of multiple simultaneous projects
- Knowledge of fire protection codes, equipment specifications and system testing
- Demonstrated ability to perform with urgency
- Five years’ experience in industrial fire protection
- Knowledge of fire protection alarm systems
