WE ARE LOOKING FOR A MAINTENANCE ENGINEER III
SENIORITY LEVEL: Experienced Non-Management Level
FUNCTION: Scientific Research and Development
LOCATION: Owensboro, KY
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
This position performs routine, non-routine and complex task assignments to support KBio strategic initiatives. Collaborates within function and cross-functionally on assignments, developing technical knowledge and seeking perspective of others on to resolve issues.
What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?
The Maintenance Engineer assists with work streams associated with the development and implementation of improved and/or new innovative product platforms. (S)He will conduct all activities in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
Reports to: Sr Manager Facilities
Core Relationships: Internal – Manufacturing External-Vendors
Geographic Scope: Local
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Understands Company strategy and how individual work is aligned with strategic plan.
- Prioritizes work assignments and communicates results, applying business/scientific writing techniques.
- Maintain and develop equipment and systems, both routine and non-routine.
- Supports work streams associated with the identification, development, and implementation of new technologies, processes, and associated science.
- Serve as point of contact (POC) to Coordinate/Schedule repairs, PMs, and calibrations with 3rd party vendors.

ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
- 2 years of relevant experience in Maintenance planning, scheduling, and/or execution
- Performs maintenance duties under limited supervision according to cGMP and Standard Operating Procedures
- Escorts, schedules, and collaborates with all KBio departments and outside vendors for all maintenance-related activities
- Works within team and department to in order to follow best practices and meet department goals
- Ensure all maintenance work in facilities, labs, and other site areas are carried out according to SOP and Safety guidelines
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills with an ability to recommend continuous improvements
- Ability to work independently or within project teams
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in a technical discipline or equivalent preferred

- Mechanical and/or Electrical aptitude and familiarity with drawings and specifications.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Professional Suite.
- Understanding of Maintenance Management systems
