Regional OBGYN Job Overview
Britt Medical Search is seeking a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to join our team in Central Eastern Maine. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated provider to rejuvenate procedures, draw in more patients, and see a rise in the number of births.
Work-Life Balance
- This provider will be joining one other full-time OBGYN and a locum OBGYN that provides coverage relief.
- Each provider will receive 6 weeks vacation and two weeks CME (with a combined total of 16 weeks per year) with the locum retiring provider providing office coverage and call for a total of 16 weeks for year, leaving a great work-life balance for the remaining providers.
- The office visits are approximately 16 patients daily for each provider, seeing approximately 3,300 patients annually.
- Each provider has one morning a week set aside in the OR for scheduled surgical procedures.
- Procedures done in the office are Ultra Sounds, LEEP procedures and colposcopies, IUD insertions, Nexplanon insertions, endometrial biopsies, and pessary insertions.
- Combined OR procedures for both current providers average approximately 100 to 125 annually.
- Designated LPM/MA.
- Hospital has approximately 120 births annually. Of the 120 births this past year it had about 25 C-Sections. About half of that number are new C-Sections with the other half being repeat sections.
