POSITION SUMMARY:
The Audit & Assurance Manager is responsible for managing client relationships and supervising audit and assurance teams and engagements as well as being flexible to support other Firm service lines on an as needed basis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintains positive client relationships by clearly communicating throughout engagements, bringing new ideas and recommendations to add value, and understanding industry-specific challenges and opportunities
  • Manages team-members to produce high-quality work and meet deadlines
  • Develops new leads and contacts for the Firm and recognizes opportunities to provide additional services where and when appropriate
  • Takes ownership for assigned engagement profitability including billing and collections
  • Provides timely and accurate formal quotes and proposals as needed for engagements/projects
  • Communicates with all internal and external stakeholders to provide clear direction and resolve issues
  • Leads self and team-members with integrity, trust, accountability, and transparency to exceed client and Firm expectations
  • Participates in Firm activities to attract and retain high-performing people
  • Resolves team-member issues that inhibit successful completion of engagements/projects
  • Engages in business development activities with new and existing relationships
  • Monitors deadlines and communicates scheduling needs to ensure proper allocation of resources
  • Adheres to and follows Firm policies and procedures including but not limited to time entry, billing and collections, technology use, service methodologies, and human resources
  • Provides team-members with timely, accurate, and constructive feedback regarding performance
  • Clarifies expectations for team-members’ performance and goals
  • Communicates accounting and methodology changes to the team
  • Manages work in progress (WIP) effectively
  • Participates in Firm committees and activities
  • Promotes the Firm positively in the community and through professional organizations involvement
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Required:
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
o 5 years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience
o CPA certification in good standing
o Advanced computer literacy, including proficient use of all Microsoft Office products
o Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Proven interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with both internal and external team members, as well as external client relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated client relationship management as well as collaboratively within a team setting
  • Open to constant learning and training from other team members due to the ongoing diversity of client engagements
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Skills with investigating and analyzing source materials
  • Ability to organize and plan workflows with minimal supervision
  • Ability to direct and deploy staff
  • Proven leadership qualities in managing others, includes both internal team-members and external client relationships
  • Provides team-members with timely, accurate, and constructive feedback regarding performance
