Principal and Essential Functions:
Brixmor’s Legal team seeks an experienced commercial retail real estate transactional attorney. Reporting directly to the EVP, General Counsel, this attorney will proactively support broad commercial real estate transactional activities.
The VP of Legal Transactions will primarily focus on open-air shopping center acquisitions and dispositions. Other functional areas include attending to condemnation actions, title matters; easements and rights of way, environmental matters, subdivisions, REA’s and restrictive covenant issues.
Qualifications:
- A J.D. from a leading law school, with proven academic success.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant transactional and commercial real estate experience with a law firm and/or corporation
- Retail, shopping center experience required.
- Management experience preferred
- Proven ability to independently, and on a “first-chair” basis, structure, draft, negotiate, manage, and close sophisticated real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to interface with colleagues at all levels, by virtue of professional competence, personal integrity, and personal style.
- Proven ability to manage stressful situations, a diverse and high-volume workload, and provide client service in a calm and professional manner.
- Flexibility and strong analytic and problem-solving ability.

The base salary range for this position has been established as $190,000 - $200,000 PLUS participation in our long-term incentive plan AND annual cash bonus plan. This salary range represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
