SUMMARY : The Pension Processor will support Pension Department in serving and responding to clients needs on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist members with applications / death notifications via walk-ins or phone calls;
- Check for missing documents;
- Send employer verifications;
- Prepare election form;
- Prepare retroactive interest for verification;
- Prepare summary analysis for verification;
- Request initial payments from financial institution;
- Suspend members due to death or no annual affidavit;
- Send out initial payments to members;
- Check for recalculation
- Estimate AFL Pension benefits and vesting / credit services
Supervisory Responsibilities : This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and / or Experience : High School diploma or G.E.D; and minimum of two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent and any combination of education, training, and / or experience, which demonstrates ability to perform the duties described.
Language Skills : Ability to read, speak, and write effectively in English. Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, memos, letters, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively address or resolve customer service issues within guidelines of the position.
Mathematical Skills : Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Valid, class C license in state working with no adverse driving record.
