AT A GLANCE:
The Vice President (VP) of Information Technology (IT) and Business Intelligence (BI) is responsible for leading Broad River Retail’s IT strategy; enterprise software; technology systems; network infrastructure; user services; hardware management; data warehouse; and reporting services in support of all departments within the Company. This executive oversees IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP software, software integrations, technology deployments, and business intelligence tools to support retail performance, finance, supply chain, and business operations. This role will ensure technology and analytics align with business objectives and drive efficiency, innovation, security, growth, and an enhanced customer experience.
DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:
IT Strategy & Leadership:
• Develop and execute a strategic IT roadmap aligned with Broad River Retail’s growth strategy.
• Oversee IT operations, including retail systems, network infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• Lead a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws, industry regulations and cybersecurity best practices.
• Develop and maintain an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) governing the use of hardware devices and internet access within our network.
Business Intelligence & Data Analytics:
• Drive a data driven culture by implementing BI tools to analyze sales, customer behavior, and supply chain performance.
• Develop and maintain a centralized data warehouse for reporting and real time analytics.
• Work with Merchandising, Marketing, and Finance teams to provide actionable insights on product performance and market trends.
• Collaborate with business units to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
• Ensure data governance, integrity, security, and accuracy across all platforms.
AI & Data Center Services:
• Oversee the technology & cloud infrastructure supporting all software systems and platforms, mobile applications, and omnichannel experiences.
• Research AI solutions to generate efficiencies, enhance marketing, and increase revenues.
• Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance business operations.
ERP (STORIS) & Data Warehouse Management
• Maintain our primary ERP system (STORIS) with high availability, uptime and security.
• Lead regularly scheduled ERP system upgrades.
• Maintain EDI and system integrations with various partners (such as Versatile Credit, Synchrony, TD Retail Card Services, Fortiva, Koalafi, Ashley Furniture, AshComm, FreshWorks, LS Direct, etc.)
• Maintain a safe and secure Data Warehouse with access to reliable reporting.
IT Help Desk & Onboarding Support
• Oversee the IT HelpDesk team to support the technological needs of all Memory Makers.
• In partnership with our People department, ensuring hardware and software tools along with network tools are adequately prepared and created for all new hires to ensure a smooth technology onboarding.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with C-suite leadership, Retail, Finance, CX, Operations, and Supply Chain leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Partner with vendors and third-party providers to enhance IT capabilities and ensure cost-effective technology investments.
• Support customer experience initiatives through seamless in-store and online technology solutions.
Budget & Vendor Management:
• Develop and manage IT and BI budgets, ensuring ROI on technology investments.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with software providers, IT service firms, and cloud providers.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, business intelligence, or a related field.
• 10 years of IT leadership experience, preferably in retail or home furnishings industries.
• Expertise in ERP systems (i.e., STORIS), POS platforms, AI, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python).
• Experience leading digital transformation, omni-channel retail, and AI-driven analytics initiatives.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
