Job Summary:
Broad Street Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Non-Medical Caregiver to join our team. The Non-Medical Caregiver will support and assist patients who require non-medical care services in their homes. This position requires an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong commitment to providing quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing;
- Ideal candidates will have prior Parkinson's experience;
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients;
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation;
- Promptly report any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse;
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Must have Parkinson's experience;
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a healthcare setting is preferred;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Demonstrated understanding of patient care principles;
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Working Conditions:
The Non-Medical Caregiver will primarily work in patients' homes. The position may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. The work schedule may include weekends and holidays, depending on the needs of the patients.
