What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Home Caregiver *Chicago Area position at Broad Street Home Care?
BSHC is seeking Care Professionals to join our growing team!

We are a Concierge Health Service which is private pay, we don’t have the administrative burden of managing Insurance and the related coding, so we are free to focus on Care.
Our Care Professionals work closely with the Nurse Care Manager to ensure clients receive the proper care and support needed to maintain independence and remain safely in their home. Duties may include assistance with personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparations, medication reminders, accompanying appointments outside the home, and companionship. The ideal candidate will have a stronger sense of commitment and reliability and want to make a difference in the lives of others.
- Prior experience for at least 6 months as a Care Professional;
- Demonstrate reliability to be punctual and supportive of client hours;
- Ability to pass the Illinois Department of Healthcare Registry Background check;
- Must possess the ability to navigate a phone application in order to clock in and out as well as enter case notes;
- Ability to work and relate with the ill, elderly, and disabled population;
- Demonstrate the ability to be a strong team player;
- Ability to work independently and when circumstances warrant the ability to make decisions.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing;
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients;
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation;
- Promptly report any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse;
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Work Location: Client locations are TBD in the Chicago-land area based on patient locations
