Broad Top Area Medical Center, operating 12 medical offices in Huntingdon County, PA, is seeking a Dentist who will be responsible for providing comprehensive preventive and limited restorative dental services at its Health Centers.
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Provides comprehensive dental care to all patients through evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and restoration.
Performs exams, x-rays, sealants, prophylaxis and scaling, restorations, and endodontics.
Provides emergency dental services including prescriptions for pain, extractions, and restorations.
Provides direct patient education to insure proper preventive measures regarding proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and accident prevention.
Responsible for accurate record-keeping involving patient records/history.
Helps provide in-house dental training.
Performs other duties as assigned by the BTAMC Dental Director.
Qualifications:
Graduation from a School of Dentistry
Approved by the Pennsylvania State Dental Board
Previous experience in a dental setting preferred
Ability to work independently as a team member in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of the state and federal laws pertaining to dentistry and HRSA regulations
Competency in dealing with people of other cultures and social status
Must be able to lift, carry, and handle dental equipment and supplies needed in routine/emergency care
Licenses or Certifications:
License to practice dentistry in the State of Pennsylvania
CPR/AED Certification
