Broadband of Indiana, LLC (BOI) is a telecommunication company. We install and maintain the lines and cables used by network communications companies. Currently, we are looking for a Lineman to work out of our Clarksville, TN and surrounding area.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand work orders.
- Execute job duties according to print.
- Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable.
- Operate aerial bucket to perform working duties.
- Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers.
- Flagging traffic when required.
- Establish all safety protocols on job sites.
Qualifications
- Previous work experience around existing utility.
- Knowledge in OSHA, NESC, NEC and other similar construction guidelines.
- Valid driver’s license with clear MVR.
- Ability to climb telephone poles up to forty feet and work in an extended bucket truck.
- Knowledge on how to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction).
- Able to lift/carry 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. as needed with or without assistance.
- Ability to interact and communicate with co-workers in a clear & professional manor.
- Ability to set up & maintain safe work areas.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
This job position is in a field setting. All jobs will be performed in the surrounding area of Clarksville, TN allowing the candidate to be home most evenings. Candidate will be on call for after hours and weekend emergencies. When working in the field, weather conditions, such as extreme cold or heat, rain, snow, ice and wind should be expected.
Background check, pre-employment drug screening and MVR will be run on Candidate.
