JOB CLASSIFICATION: 1099 Sub-Contractor
LOCATION: Aledo, Texas
JOB DESCRIPTION
The sub-contractor will perform tasks involving underground telecommunications work at various construction and service sites. Most important skill will be communicating with internal & external teams to make sure all projects are on time and within budget.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years of underground construction projects.
- Thorough understanding of plans, specifications, maps, construction prints and responsibilities as directed by BTS management
- Perform cable maintenance, repair, and troubleshoot to address signal issues
- Knowledgeable in all types of splicing activity, cable, and safety equipment while using various types of cable equipment
- Locate and repair cable faults to sustain existing cable network without causing signal disruptions
- Authenticate start to finish service provisioning for the cable network
- Check accurate cable terminations on cross connect, patch panels, hubs, and routers
- Comprehend splice schematics
- Must be able to lift and carry 60 pounds and/or push & pull 50-pound loads at a time
- Customer-service oriented and have excellent people skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate of Insurance (COI) is required
- Must be able to pass background check, drug screening, and MVR report
