POSITION SUMMARY Directs the new license sales for individual licensees. Intensifies new and creative means for reaching decision makers, reducing the length of time to license, and maximizing the value of each license. LOCATION Nashville, TN office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Manages the day-to-day activities of the Inside General Licensing Sales team. Introduces and manages best in class sales strategies, including assisting with the successful implementation of top-tier technological tools for sales and licensing productivity. Works closely with the licensing leadership to collaborate on sales and lead generation strategies and sales performance analysis. Collaborates with BMI senior management to develop long term business strategies. Collaborates with the Licensing team to develop new licenses and rates to respond to market trends. Builds and maintains communication across and within all teams. Regular attendance. Other duties as assigned. Supports our BMI Core Values and cultivates a culture of diversity and inclusion. Supervisory Responsibilities : Directly supervises departmental employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, directing and ensuring reliability of work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred. Experience : Minimum of 10 years steadily progressing experience leading and scaling small to mid-sized sales organizations. Experience selling and managing sales in a business-to-business environment. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Sales experience within multiple industries including the hospitality industry. Understanding of copyright law. A proven sales leader possessing deep experience with CRM platforms. An intuitive thinker who has a track record of developing innovative ideas to elevate sales performance. A confident leader with a passion for growing businesses and driving organizational change. Strong technology proficiency within a sales and service environment. A person of the highest personal and professional integrity, credibility and a proven track record of success. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills (one-on-one and groups), as well as first class collaborative and relationship building skills. Superior motivation skills demonstrated by a history of leading sales forces with quantifiable successes. An entrepreneurial spirit, exceedingly detail-oriented and an astute executive whose aggressiveness and energy will be coupled with a strong team orientation. Experience developing and implementing e-commerce strategies. The ability to successfully manage internal relationships within the company. A collaborative mentor, who is an excellent coach and an analytical individual possessive of competitive drive and vision. An individual who is adept at making tough calls and seeing the future of the business and what needs to change well in advance. A visionary leader who embraces new ideas and processes with a keen marketing sense. A passionate individual who will settle for nothing short of success. Extended hours beyond 40 as needed. Flexibility for occasional travel. SALARY RANGE The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
