The Professional Services - Client Service Consultant will support Federal / Public Sector customers on-site and/or remotely within the United States. The consultant will assist in the hands-on implementation, operations, administration, and support of Symantec’s product portfolio; Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Center Security (DCS), Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG), Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP), Symantec Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Web Protection Suite including Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Edge Proxies (ProxySG), and Cloud Proxies (WSS). Job Responsibilities: Provide Symantec product / subject matter expertise and thought leadership Provide guidance, recommendations, and best practices for Symantec solution operations. Stabilize and optimize Symantec solution system performance, including rules and reports. Assist with Symantec solution component upgrades, installation, testing, and configuration. Liaise with Symantec Support, Engineering, Product Management, and others within Symantec on behalf of the customer. Provide a single point of contact and hands-on escalation and remediation for critical issues. Respond rapidly to unplanned events, including after-hours for Severity 1 issues. Proactively communicate relevant technical information and alerts on known issues, hotfixes, new releases, etc. Provide regular status reports for critical incidents, projects, and proactive services. Communicate professionally and effectively at all organizational levels. Help Symantec's customers meet their cyber security and business objectives Superb written and verbal communication skills in English. Desired Qualifications: Strong technical expertise with Symantec’s product portfolio or similar technologies - preferred Understanding of cyber-attack categories, characteristics, vectors, and vulnerabilities. Hands-on knowledge of operating systems, networking, and security architecture. Working knowledge of authentication solutions (LDAP, 2FA, etc.) Ideal candidate will have a CISSP in good standing (to meet government certification requirements). Other relevant security certifications that are in good standing may also be acceptable, depending on the role of the consultant. Additional Requirements: U.S. Citizenship is required Active U.S. Federal Government clearances are highly desired (Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph). The Candidate must be willing to maintain the security clearance Experience working with Federal Government (Department of Defense, Civilian, Intelligence Community) customers is preferred Superb written and communication skills in English Ideal candidate will have a CISSP in good standing (to meet government certification requirements) Experience: Bachelor's 8 years of related experience
