We’re looking for a Senior Risk Analyst to join a leading financial firm in Atlanta, where you’ll play a critical role in monitoring and managing capital, market, and liquidity risk, while ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal policies.
In this strategic position, you'll collaborate with key business units to evaluate and challenge their risk management processes, models, and assumptions. Your insights will help shape the firm’s approach to market risk, liquidity, and capital adequacy, allowing you to have a significant impact on the overall risk framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business units responsible for capital, market, and liquidity risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough reviews of risk management processes, methodologies, and assumptions related to market risk, liquidity risk, and capital adequacy.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the risk management framework and enhance internal controls.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and exposures.
- Prepare detailed risk reports and provide analysis for senior management and committees.
- Participate in Risk & Control Self-Assessments and contribute to Recovery & Resolution planning.
- Address ad-hoc requests from various teams, including risk management and regulatory bodies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 4-6 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on risk management.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, banking regulations, and risk management principles, particularly in asset-liability management, liquidity management, and capital management.
- Ability to distill complex information, such as regulatory guidance and industry analysis, into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ALM platforms (e.g., Empyrean, QRM, Fiserv) and liquidity management tools.
- Familiarity with data management platforms (SAS, SQL, R, etc.) is a plus.
