Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside business units managing capital, market, and liquidity risks, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Review and assess risk management processes, methodologies, and assumptions related to market risk, liquidity risk, and capital adequacy.
- Develop and implement solutions to enhance the risk management framework and internal controls.
- Stay updated on market and regulatory conditions, identifying potential risks and exposures.
- Create risk reports and analyses for senior management and committees.
- Participate in Risk & Control Self-Assessments and assist with Recovery & Resolution planning.
- Respond to requests from business teams, risk management, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year college degree required).
- 4-6 years of experience in banking or financial services with a focus on risk management.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, banking regulations, and risk management principles, particularly in asset-liability management, liquidity, and capital management.
- Ability to analyze complex regulatory materials and market data, translating them into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ALM platforms (Empyrean, QRM, Fiserv) and liquidity management tools.
- Familiarity with data management tools such as SAS, SQL, or R.
