What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Banquet Server position at Broadlands Golf Club?
Broadlands Golf Club hosts a variety of different events, from weddings, and corporate gatherings to private parties and golf tournaments. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our banquet team for the upcoming season. No prior experience is required, just a good attitude and a commitment to excellent service.
As a banquet server, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our events by assisting with set up, service, and clean up. You will work closely with the Kitchen Staff to create memorable experiences for our guests. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event operations and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange tables, chairs, linens, tableware, buffet, and decorations according to event specifications.
- Assist with serving food, maintaining buffets, bussing tables, and completing miscellaneous event tasks.
- Break down event spaces, clean and store equipment, and ensure the ballroom is prepared for our next event.
- Provide friendly and professional service to guests, addressing any needs or concerns promptly.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure a seamless and efficient dinner service.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Banquet Manager or Chef.
Job Requirements:
- No prior experience is required. Training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
