About the Position
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for key account strategy implementation, territory management, new business development, and expanding industry relationships with IVD manufacturer accounts in the Southwest territory. This is a senior sales role that requires consultative selling with customers in the field of molecular and immunological testing; maximizing market share in existing and new accounts and sales opportunities by promoting product growth and providing development, management, and account direction for the assigned territory.
About the Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of life science technical sales experience
- BS, MS, or PhD degree in Biology or Life Science discipline
- Strong STEM background to lead technical, consultative discussions with Directors of R&D and scientific end-users on diagnostic assay development
- Demonstrated track record closing large complex deals with high-value IVD accounts
- Hunter sales mentality
- Strategic, consultative, and relationship selling skills
- Established relationships within the IVD market segment
- Field travel up to 50% is required
