The Assistant Controller is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end / year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by analyzing financial data and trends.
- Assist with audits (internal and external) by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate financial records.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
- Implement and improve internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to leadership for decision-making.
- Support ERP system maintenance and upgrades for financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist in special projects, financial modeling, and process improvements.
