We are seeking an experienced OSP Construction Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of outside plant fiber and telecommunications construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OSP construction, project management, and contractor oversight, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage the construction and deployment of OSP fiber and telecom infrastructure including aerial, underground, and trenching operations.
Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure work is completed according to project scope, design specifications, and safety regulations.
Coordinate with engineering, permitting, and procurement teams to ensure materials and resources are available as needed.
Conduct site walks and inspections to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure quality control.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and documentation, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate risks, resolving construction-related issues proactively.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors, utility companies, and permitting agencies. Qualifications :
Experience : 3 years in OSP construction management, telecom infrastructure, or a related field.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
Skills & Certifications :
Strong knowledge of OSP fiber construction, including aerial and underground deployment.
Experience working with contractors, permitting agencies, and utility companies.
Proficiency in construction management software and GIS mapping tools.
Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, NESC, etc.).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
PMP or OSHA certifications are a plus.
