The Foreman will oversee field crew safety, personnel, production, and schedules on various construction projects.
Pay Rate : $30-$37 / hr, depending on experience
Location : Traveling throughout Minnesota and South Dakota
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Oversees field crew personnel for specific needs such as boring, laying cable, or other construction activities
- Supervises each crew to ensure that work meets quality standards and adheres to specifications
Duties & Responsibilities :
Provides leadership on job sites by walking out project and directing crews to meet production goalsSchedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budget the time necessary to meet each deadlinePlans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities regarding the construction and maintenance of assigned structures, facilities, and systemsDevelops workforce by encouraging open communication, pairing less experienced employees with seasoned team members, and regularly assessing employee skills and identifying crew needsEnsures safety standards and DOT guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in constructionManages and leads actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sitesDevelops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, craft workers, and the general publicMonitors Track VO daily and updates equipment location changes if neededPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Education / Experience & Qualifications :
Valid Class A Driver’s License with Tanker EndorsementMinimum 5 years of construction experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient with ARC and GIS softwareAbility to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environmentAbility to make intelligent and quick decisions and work well under pressure when faced with unexpected occurrences or delaysAbility to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problemsThorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawingsAbility to provide leadership to a crewAbility to operate most if not all heavy equipment used on the job sitePreferred Education / Experience & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering preferredOSHA 30 CertificationPhysical Requirements :
