Essential Functions
- Participate in job shadowing with experienced Wealth Advisors, Portfolio Managers, and Trust Officers to gain a comprehensive understanding of wealth management practices.
- Support client portfolio reviews by gathering relevant financial data and assisting in the preparation of reports and recommendations.
- Assist in conducting market research and analysis to help identify investment opportunities for client portfolios.
- Collaborate with team members on the preparation and delivery of client presentations and financial plans.
- Gain exposure to financial planning tools and software, including portfolio performance reporting and risk analysis.
- Support the administrative processing of account openings, maintenance requests, and transaction monitoring.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and client events to understand the client service experience within wealth management.
- Participate in special projects related to investment strategy, estate planning, and wealth transfer solutions.
- Assist in developing marketing materials and client communications as directed by Wealth Management leadership.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client data and internal bank operations.
- This position may require travel within the Bank’s geographic area.
- Must be entering the junior or senior year of an accredited undergraduate program.
- Currently enrolled in a degree program focused on business, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher is required.
- A professional letter of recommendation is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, team members, and leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to conduct financial data analysis and create reports.
- Basic understanding of investment principles, financial markets, and wealth management strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset and a focus on accuracy.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems, tools, and financial planning methodologies.
- Professional demeanor, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of client confidentiality and ethical behavior.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Availability to commit to the full 10-week internship program.
- Willingness to adhere to Broadway Bank’s core values and maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 10 lbs. on a regular basis.
