What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager position at Broadway Construction Group, LLC?
This position is responsible to assist the project construction team with day-to-day operations of the project including but not limited to the project direction, planning, completion, and financial outcome. The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and team building skills. This list is not all inclusive and is meant to highlight responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Assist with preconstruction efforts
- Assistant Project Manager with all aspects of project from inception thru completion
- Prepare trade contracts and bid packages, and assist with procurement process
- Oversee the shop drawing, submittal, and construction coordination process
- Assist with planning and coordination of the project in conduction with the Project Manager and Superintendent
- Maintain relationships designers, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors
- Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction, and pre-award
- Impeccable attention to detailed documentation protocols
- Review inspection and test data for compliance with specifications
- Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Superintendent
Qualifications
- Requires Engineering, Construction Management, or related bachelor’s degree, OR possess at least 2 years equivalent years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of various construction disciplines, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, engineering drawings and other documents required.
- Ability to work with and have knowledge of the shop drawing submittal process. read and comprehend building plans and specifications and able to comprehend and recognize safety standards and issues.
- Ability to determine the priority of assignments based on critical deadlines.
- Requires the ability to resolves field-initiated questions.
- Understanding of construction contracts, retention, releases.
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and customers.
- Must possess strengths in verbal and written communications; ability to adapt communications/presentations and deliver clear and concise reports and analysis to senior management.
- Highly self-motivated, ability to work independently and able to work independently with minimal supervision while functioning as part of a project team. Also requires high degree of ethics and integrity
- Excellent time management skills, ability to react and shift priorities simultaneously to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, along with experience using Autodesk or similar project management platforms.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
