What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oyster Shucker position at Broadway Oyster Bar?
Broadway Oyster Bar is a family owned, local business located just South of Busch Stadium. We have been serving our loyal guests some of the best Cajun-Creole, fresh seafood, and live music seven nights a week for 45 years. Broadway Oyster Bar is one of the most iconic restaurants and live music venues in the city and we are looking to add to our team of some of the best in the business!
As an Oyster Shucker, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the restaurant and your station is prepared for each shift as based on internal procedures. You will provide assistance to the Kitchen Manager and Line Cooks to shuck and clean the oysters to order, follow plating requirements, and maintain food safety according health code. This is a very fast paced environment so experience and attention to detail is a must.
Payrate: $15.00 - $20.00//hour, based on experience
Job Type: Full Time or Part Time, all shifts available but mostly nights and weekends.
Requirements:
✅ Basic knife skills and kitchen experience preferred.
✅ Ability to follow directions and recipes.
