This position is for individualized care, not in a group home.
Direct Support Professional Responsibilities :
- Providing direct care and supervision for individuals with intellectual / developmental disabilities to increase their independence in their home and community.
- Providing support with medical and specialist appointments and ensuring accurate documentation of each appointment.
- Providing support with daily activities including but not limited to hygiene, volunteer, or leisure actives.
- Completing all required documentation according to regulations and standards.
- Participating in meetings with individual support plan team to create inclusive and person-centered services
- Participating in initial and on-going staff training and development activities
