Position Description: JOB TITLE: Shipping & Receiving Associate
REPORTS TO: Logistics Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, Hourly
POSITION VALUE STATEMENT: The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for all aspects of receiving, warehousing and shipping goods. Safety, organization, and housekeeping are key responsibilities in this role. Employees will follow all Safety Quality Foods (SQF) rules and procedures pertaining to this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare Goods for shipment:
Pack, crate, and ship goods
Ensure shipment accuracy against proper paperwork
Create and maintain proper paperwork
Prepare freight quotes prior to shipping
Load / Unload incoming and outgoing trucks
Organize and maintain Inventory:
Ensure accurate and timely records of receipts and shipments
o Verifies receipt of incoming goods against proper paperwork before signing bills of lading
Distribute and move materials to appropriate plant locations as required
Verify inventory counts and physical inventory as required
o Communicate discrepancies in
Create, track, and maintain various spreadsheets and expense analysis
Additional Responsibilities
Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
o Ensure equipment is in safe working condition prior to use
Ability to use and understand computer and shipment processing softwares
Complete all paperwork required for compliance with policies and procedures including necessary SQF documentation
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school Diploma or GED
Must be a certified forklift operator
Experience with computerized ERP System (Sage x3 preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office(Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Must be able to stand, crouch, bend, squat, reach, kneel, push, pull, climb and walk.
Be able to use common hand tools including sharp tools
Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs without assistance.
Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
Must be able to sit for up to 2 hours at a time
