Material Handler

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work within the warehouse, moving, handling, and storing materials/parts.
• Store materials/parts in assigned locations
• Load and unload inventory from various locations within the warehouse
• Maintain and ensure appropriate inventory by identifying, labeling, and stocking materials.
• Check the inventory to ensure that all materials and supplies in stock are correct.
• Keep accurate records and documentation of everything that is shipped.
• Load and unload various materials using the right equipment throughout the day.
• Ability to use common tools such as manual jacks, clamp trunk, dollies, and lift trucks.
• Know how to operate overhead doors, trailer restraints, dock plates, banding, and wrapping equipment in practice.
• Know how to use computerized scales for counting and weighing goods.
• Receive, confirm, track, store, dispatch and deliver material from the warehouse to production facilities, retail stores and corporate offices.
• Lift and unload heavy pallets, both by hand and by machine, and safely relocate them elsewhere in the warehouse or prepare them for transport.
• Understand the basics of the supply chain, including shipping and receiving logistics, quality assurance, equipment upkeep, and facility maintenance.
• Fill out inventory lists, crosscheck shipping invoices and maintain accurate delivery log records for every order.
• Maintain the working area keeping it clean and in order.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Job Skills & Qualifications

· Certification in forklift operation

· Knowledge of operating warehouse machinery

· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· Written and verbal communication skills

Required

· High School or higher-level education

· Forklift experience

· Warehouse and materials handling experience

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
