Job Description:
Brochsteins is looking for a qualified detailer who has experience in high grade custom interiors (specifically related to millwork) and enjoys the challenge of translating designer’s drawings into a buildable solution. This person must understand how millwork abuts and interacts with adjacent trades and be able to think deeply in 3-dimensions.
Key Responsibilities
- Works with the Project Manager, internal and external project teams face-to-face, via phone or conferencing tools to interpret owners and architects design intent, clarify scope and direct the customer to the best solution
- Engineers and drafts product solutions that meet design intent and estimated budget, and Brochsteins manufacturing and installation capabilities
- Coordinates work and interfaces Brochstein work with other trades as required.
- Adheres to Brochsteins drawing conventions and where applicable leads the development of standards and deployment of system.
- Generates RFI’s, change orders and requests for work, requisitions to purchase for special project hardware, metal, glass, solid surface and fabric.
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, think 3-dimensionally.
- Ability to draft complex architectural millwork and furniture including a multitude of materials including veneer, solid wood, plastic laminate, metal, glass, acrylic and upholstery.
- Knowledge of joinery, hardware, AWI standards
- Knowledge of computer based drafting tools, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks and parametric engineering software, such as Microvellum, CabinetVision, IMOS, WoodCad/Cam etc.
- Able to work under tight time restraints and deadlines and be personable, even under pressure
- Attention to detail and persistence in follow up
- Five years relevant experience. College degree preferred
- Ability to multitask and maintain comprehension of various projects
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
