Job Description
BroCity Constructuon is looking for a General Laborer to join our team. The General Laborer will work in a team setting to form concrete, sheetrock, roof, frame, install siding, windows, or flooring, for new construction or repair projects, residential and commercial. This position requires a hands on approach to all areas of the trade. The ideal candidate will have expirence forming concrete using a powerhammer, pmumatic nail gun, and other tools, and overall construction expirence. Must be able to work in a team enviornment and be able to work on feet for extended periods of time, sometimes in extreme weather.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, remove, or finish concrete according to specifications or as required by client or project manager.
- Clean and prepare materials, load and transport materials safely.
- Prepare surfaces for pouring of concrete by scraping, sanding, or rough-texturing.
- Perform physical labor when necessary to complete projects.
- Follow instructions of supervisors to ensure completion of projects on time.
- Operate power tools as needed.
- Pour concrete using various types of masonry tools such as trowels, chisels, and gouges.
- Knowledgable about using Symon concrete forms for concrete walls and curbs.
- Inspect and verify quality of finished product.
- Clean up job site after completed project.
- Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Finishing experience preferred
- Experience with concrete equipment preferred (paving, grouting, pouring, etc.)
- Must be able to work in a team enviornment with others of various skill levels
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at a time
- Preferred to have expierence with setting lasers to correct grade for top of form, setting forms correctly, concrete finishing, screeting and raking
- Must have positive work attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
