Supplementary responsibilities include conducting thorough research, analyzing data, and interpreting plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction process (including various means and methods), excellent mathematical skills, and the ability to identify areas of cost-savings related to the building design. This individual will meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and be detail-oriented. It is imperative to have excellent communication skills to engage in ongoing communication with field personnel, suppliers / vendors, and trades throughout each step of the project, making sure all details and changes are captured and communicated to all involved parties professionally and timely to promote positive working relationships among all persons involved in the project.

- Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, governmental agencies, vendors, manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost and / or quantity estimates or as it relates to the substitution of materials within building systems.
- Present prepared estimates for use by management and leadership in planning and organizing project budgets for projects in all phases of product development from schematic design and design development to construction document, using data extrapolation from similar projects to assist in feasibility studies.
