Brock & Scott is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist/Legal Assistant to join our team. This role includes operating data entry devices, working within various lender systems, and verifying data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and enter data from source documents into specific data fields using keyboards or scanners.
- Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data prior to entry.
- Compare data against source documents or re-enter data to detect and correct errors.
- Store completed documents in designated online locations and ensure proper documentation.
- Identify and resolve data entry errors, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain logs of daily activities and completed tasks.
- Select necessary materials to complete data entry and other assignments.
- Assist with document preparation, backups, and milestones for legal cases and lender transactions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of data entry experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize, plan, and manage time effectively.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with maintaining a positive and professional office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with real estate and foreclosure documents.
- Familiarity with CaseWare, LPS, and various lender systems.
- Understanding of payroll systems and general legal procedures.
