Description
Our law Firm is currently seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of a Evictions Paralegal. This role will be responsible for working closely with attorneys and other legal professionals to conduct the day-to-day operations of the law office, provide administrative support, and ensure compliance with client and legal regulations. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.
Responsibilities also include but not limited to :
- Ensuring each matter is progressing toward a timely resolution and in compliance with statutory and client requirements
- Handling general client communication and responding to status inquiries
- Monitoring and updating of lender / servicer websites to ensure compliance
- Responsible for contacting the foreclosure firms to request recorded copy of the foreclosure deed or ordering of certified copy of foreclosure deed when required
- Responsible for contacting the agent assigned to the property to obtain the occupant information
- Mailing of notices and all correspondence to occupants
- Preparation of cover letters and envelopes for documents being filed with court and forwarding of documents to court for filing
- Preparation of cover letters for summons packets to be sent out for service and forwarding of packets to Constables for service
- Responsible for requesting checks for filing fees as needed
- Responsible for tracking files until Notices to Quit expire
- Responsible for scanning and uploading of all incoming and outgoing mail
- Responsible for review of incoming invoices from vendors and uploading same to file and then forwarding to accounting for payment
- Responsible for receipt of overnight packages and documenting and scanning of contents into appropriate electronic file and delivery to assigned attorney
