Brockman Site Development is seeking a Construction Safety Manager that will ensure everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws. The ideal candidate must have exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and past experience as a Safety Manager.

This position is responsible for ensuring everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws. The Safety Manager will be responsible for enforcing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace. As the Safety Manager for Brockman Site Development, you must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards. You must be able to discover opportunities for improving conditions and execute safety training programs and workshops. The ability to communicate guidelines across departments is essential. The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.

Requirements

  • Safety Manager Experience
  • Minimum 4 years construction industry experience
  • Driver’s License
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent Risk assessment skills

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain safety programs in accordance with OSHA / DOT regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide training for employees including CPR and first aid procedures.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance for management review.
  • Stay up to date on workers’ compensation law and Environmental Health and Safety regulations.
  • Develop workshops and training sessions to enhance employee awareness of safety practices.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven experience in a safety management role or similar position within a construction or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation laws, OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and EHS.
  • Excellent reporting skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability in training development and delivering effective safety training programs.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, etc)
  • Must be able to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstances of the incident and as directed by Company Policy
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move equipment
  • Must be able to commute the jobsites
  • Must be able to walk a significant amount throughout the day, despite normal jobsite weather conditions
