What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Malpractice Paralegal position at Brockstedt Mandalas Federico LLC?
Brockstedt Mandalas Federico is located in the beautiful Quarry Lake at Greenspring Complex in Baltimore, Maryland and is looking to add a Medical Malpractice Paralegal to our growing firm.
The Medical Malpractice Paralegal will be responsible for the following tasks including but not limited to: Assist with investigations & client intakes and communication. Request, maintain and organize medical records & case files. Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, preparing for deposition, hearings or trials, and legal research. Timely and accurate filings of writs of summons. Schedule expert witnesses within discovery deadlines, schedule preparation meetings, reserve court reporters and send Zoom invites to required parties, as well as keep detailed records/ charts of scheduled progress. Support lawyers and chief medical investigator in various legal tasks, as well as other tasks as assigned.
Two years of paralegal experience along with experience as a Medical Malpractice Paralegal or Legal assistant is preferred. Paralegal Certificate is preferred but not required.
