Job Description:
Teachers in the Brockton High School Saturday School Program will provide support to Brockton High School students who need additional literacy support, compensatory services, academic enrichment, MCAS practice, or recovery of credits for promotion or graduation. Teachers will provide individualized support to identified students on their caseload in the Saturday School Program, and will work collaboratively with guidance counselors, re-engagement coaches, and instructors/supervisors to support students.
Content area needed: Social Science
Qualifications:
Massachusetts Teaching license
Experience working with high school students
Experience working with students on IEPs or with 504s and multilingual learners
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with course instructors and supervisors to support students in each content curriculum
Follow each department’s curriculum course guidelines.
Support the implementation of lesson plans and assessments that are aligned to state standards and responsive to the needs of
Brockton High School students.
Work with guidance counselor and graduation coaches to develop and implement course curriculum with supports.
Maintain attendance and course data.
Reports to: Academic Associate Principals and BHS Principal
Program Hours: 8:00am – 11:00am on Saturdays
