Position Summary:
The Peer Recovery Coach will serve as a guide and mentor to patients with Substance Use Disorder(s) (SUD), providing advocacy, guidance, support, and knowledge to empower them in their personal recovery journeys. Responsibilities include mentoring, linkages to internal and community resources, relapse prevention planning, and building a sense of community.

The Peer Recovery Coach will be accessible after-hours by phone and may need to work variable evenings and weekends based on program activities and needs. The role requires respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees, ensuring a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
Requirements:
- Current credential or license issued by a state or credentialing authority, if applicable
- At least 60 contact hours of peer recovery-focused education and training
- Minimum two years of recovery from Substance Use/Co-Occurring Mental Health Disorders (self-attestation), if applicable
- Passing score on the NCPRSS examination within four years of application
Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:
- Education: GED, High School Diploma, or higher
- Experience: Minimum of one year full-time of direct practice (volunteer or paid) in a peer recovery support environment
- Certification/Licensure: Current certification by (or pursuing certification by) the National Association of Drug and Alcohol Counselors
- Software/Hardware: Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
