Brockton Hospital's Signature Addiction Medicine/OBAT department seeks a Peer Recovery Coach to provide critical support services to clients involved in substance abuse treatment.
The successful candidate will utilize strengths-based approaches to assist clients in achieving sustained recovery from their substance use disorder by building resources and community support networks.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Responsibilities:
- Mentoring patients with Substance Use Disorder(s) (SUD)
- Linkages to internal and community resources
- Relapse prevention planning
- Building a sense of community
Requirements:
- At least 60 contact hours of peer recovery-focused education and training
- Minimum two years of recovery from Substance Use/Co-Occurring Mental Health Disorders (self-attestation), if applicable
- Passing score on the NCPRSS examination within four years of the application
