TO: Brockton High School Staff Brockton Public SchoolsFROM: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran, Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT: Advisors (4) to support the academic and emotional needs of AP and IB StudentsResponsibilities: Advisors will work together to design and implement a series of 3 after school group meetings for AP and IB Students. The focus will be on building community, strengthening executive functioning skills and teaching healthy coping strategies that address school-related stress that exists for accelerated learners.
In addition, each advisor will establish supportive after-school drop-in hours, 2 hrs. per week for the remainder of the school year, for individual AP and/or IB students requiring additional support. Qualifications: DESE License in either teaching or counselingCurrent member of Brockton High Schools FacultyExperience working directly with AP and IB Students.Compensation: $2,000.00 stipend for each advisor, provided by the SEL/MH Grant #311Schedule: February, March, April, May and June 2025
