SUBJECT:COMMUNITY SCHOOLS SUMMER 2025 – TEACHERS
Contingent upon funding and adequate enrollment, the Community Schools of Brockton will provide several summer enrichment and academic support programs for students at all grade levels.
Teachers are needed to instruct students in our summer programs listed below:
1.Act One Scene 1
2.Activity Adventure Camp
3.Art Exploration Camp
4.Engineering is Everywhere
5.Footbridge Program
6.Get Ready
7.Jr. Boxer Camp
8.Launch Academy
9.Mini Day Fun Camp
10.Power Scholars Academy
11.Raise Up Basketball
12.Smart Start Extended Day
13.Step Up: Study & Fun
14.Youth Aquatics
Teachers are expected to attend the Summer Program Mandatory Staff Meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 26th, 8am-11am.
All instructor positions begin 30 minutes before the start of the program and end 30 minutes after the program closure.
Ten (10) hours of program prep/comp will be provided for academic and enrichment programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Teaching license from the MA DESE
2.Experience teaching - preference given for summer teacher placement based on grade/academic instruction taught during
school year
3.Strong organizational skills
4.Prior experience teaching in a summer program is preferred
5.Must commit to work the entire program and attend training
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Lead instruction using a customized curriculum
2.Monitor and report student progress using required assessments
3.Assist with grant evaluation efforts
4.Attend paid professional development training sessions
5.Attend at least one evening parent event
6.Other duties as directed by program supervisors or the program coordinator
