Description
Under the direction of the Manager, Customer Care and Collection Development, this position provides coordination for the FASTips & TIPS plans which deliver customer driven lists and standing order fulfillment of books and materials.
- Responsible for the setup of customer accounts to ensure that filters and specified search parameters provide accurate and specified data sets to drive customer orders, with ongoing data analysis, testing and research to edit and update lists as necessary.
- Coordinates the delivery of the output/data lists to the customer pursuant to the prescribed deadlines.
- Processes customer orders in a timely fashion and provides customer support to ensure that all customer requirements are met, coordinating with other departments for fulfillment of special processing as needed.
- Maintains databases of customer order details, contacts and distribution lists.
- Participate in testing efforts for internal and customer-facing software.
- Assists with other department/division projects and in cross-functional problem-solving teams as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or GED equivalent with some knowledge of books and publishing preferred.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Access) and Internet.
- Ability and willingness to learn company computer systems.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and work to meet deadlines.
- Data entry and keyboarding skills with few errors.
- Ability to pay attention to details and apply critical thinking skills to problem solving situations.
- Strong communications skills and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Normal office environment, close and distant vision, using hands and fingers to handle and feel, talk and hear, sitting, lifting up to 10 lbs. frequently. Standing and walking, lifting up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- This position is subject to scheduled overtime which may be required based on departmental needs.
